INTRODUCTION

As an oil and gas producing country, Brunei Darussalam is developing its economy and expanding its industries. As the demands for energy escalate, developed and rapidly developing nations need to face increasing energy problems and issues ranging from security issues, environmental problems and depletion of natural resources. Effective energy management through implementation of appropriate strategies is crucial for sustainable development. Improving energy management will lower energy usage and cost, reduce emissions and will improve the environment. Information and Communication Technology (ICT), being the fastest advanced emerging technology, is opening up new ways to address problems of an international magnitude. To capitalize on ICT for Efficient Energy Management,
in‐depth understanding of all underlying technologies and examining different approaches in design principles and performance characteristics will reap unprecedented benefits.

The Conference aims to bring together researchers, engineers, academicians and industrial professionals from diverse fields including computer science, information technology, electronic and communication engineering, power engineering and education, to present, share and exchange research work and initiatives in areas relevant to ICT, Energy and Energy Management.

The Conference will be organised in conjunction with the 10th Anniversary of the Brunei Darussalam IET Network.
