Talk Synopsis – Value Engineering
Value Engineering (VE) is a systematic and organised procedural decision making process. It has been used in almost any kind of application. It help people creatively generates alternative that secure essential functions at the greatest worth as opposed to costs. This is referred to as value.

The talk begins with an overview of the Value Engineering, which covers its origin, the basic principles, typical applications, VE timing and the VE process. Example of past success stories on the Value Engineering workshops on projects will be shared to the audience.



CV of Speaker
Leong Voon Choon is currently working as the Capital to Value Co-coordinator in Brunei Shell Petroleum Company Sdn Bhd (BSP). His current role in Brunei Shell is to improve BSP project deliveries by introducing the various peer assist tools to all BSP asset engineering units. Prior to the above job, he has worked as Senior Project Engineer executing multi-discipline work covering BSP's offshore facilities. He has worked with BSP for almost 21 years. The first 15 years of his career have been spent mainly in the field of Electrical Engineering covering, maintenance, construction, design and project execution on electrical facilities for both onshore and offshore.
