IEE, the Institute of Electrical
Engineers, Brunei branch hosted an EGM
(Extraordinary General Meeting)
recently.
The event, which was held at the IEE
office in Anggerek Desa, was organised
to discuss key issues on the amendment
of the new IEE constitution and to
change the name for IEE to Institution
of Engineering and Technology (IET).
The event was attended by Hj Abdul
Rahman Hj Modin, Vice Chairman and Wong
Hong Chien, secretary.
During the discussion, it was announced
that IEE will be known as the Brunei
Branch of the Institution of Engineering
and Technology (IET).
All IET members can visit the web site
for more information regarding the new
amendment and current issues including
updates on technical visits, talks and
seminars.

Announcement of Extra-Ordinary
General Meeting (EGM) for IEE Brunei
Branch
An Extra-Ordinary General Meeting (EGM)
shall be held at 7.30pm, Friday, 28th
April 2006 at the IEE Brunei Branch at
Anggerek Desa. Details of location can
be found in website.
The agenda of the EGM is to amend the
constitution of the IEE Brunei Branch to
change the name of the branch from the
Institution of Electrical Engineers to
the 'Institution of Engineering and
Technology'.
Refreshments shall be served at the EGM.
