IET organizes Personal Professional Development Talk

The Institution of Engineering & Technology (IET), Brunei Darussalam Network recently organized a stimulating talk on "Effective Leadership Habits for Professionals" in its Personal Professional Development A01 Series. Mr. Jemmy Ang, a Senior Learning Advisor, from the Learning and Development Centre of Brunei Shell Petroleum Company, articulately facilitated the talk.

Some 30 professionals comprising of Engineers, from the Government and private sectors, Senior Banking Officers enthusiastically participated in the discussions and short activities during the 2-hour session.

The Chairman of IET, Awang Haji Abdul Rahman Bin Hj Modin presented an IET Banner as a token of appreciation to its distinguished speaker. After the talk, light refreshments followed and there was a cordial interaction amongst the participants as they conversed on the various paradigms mentioned in the talk.

IET aspires to deliver a series of talks and seminars on Personal Professional Development to meet the needs not only of the engineering community but also the professional society at large. The timely need to address life skills in communication is an area of increased interest and the Institution hopes to contribute and continually evaluate these competency gaps.
