The
Institution of Engineering and
Technology, Brunei Darussalam Network,
celebrated its 11th anniversary with a
grand celebration at the Kiulap Plaza
Hotel on Monday night.
Guest of honour at the auspicious
occasion was Pehin Orang Kaya Hamzah
Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Hj
Abdullah bin Begawan Mudim Dato Paduka
Haji Bakar, the Minister of Development.
Mr John Loughhead, the president of the
Institution of Engineering and
Technology (UK) and the executive
director of UK Energy Research, was also
present.
Said Hj Abdul Rahman bin Hj Modin,
chairman of the IET Brunei Darussalam
Network: "Looking back, the last 11
years of the IET presence in Brunei
Darussalam, we are pleased to see that
it has grown much in stature. We
organized countless forum, seminars,
symposiums, development talks, technical
visits, participation in local events
and now the 1st International
Conference. We also give the IET merit
award to technical institutes and
colleges." |
