BIPV
(Building Integrated Photovoltaic)
system in the building provides all
the electricity during the day and
export excess electricity into the
national grid. During the night
electricity is imported from the
national grid to run the chillers
for the air conditioning system. The
net result is zero electricity
consumption from the national grid
or excess electricity is exported to
national grid.

The
building cooling system is stored in
phase change storage tanks and
gradually releases into the building
during the day.
The ZEO building installed 4
different type of PV panels for
demonstration purposes:-

D – mono-silicon PV
